About The Publisher: Danielle

Danielle Webster

Danielle Webster is a single mother to her 13-year-old son, J, and served in the U.S. Army as a diesel mechanic. She is a native of Central Illinois, growing up in Bartonville, outside of Peoria, and moving to Springfield in 2023. Her passions for writing, history, and social justice are products of both her lived experiences and natural curiosity. She also owns (or is owned by) a fanciful feline (Lil Miss) and a clumsy canid (Ace).

Danielle holds an Associate's Degree in Communication with Public Relations and has contributed to numerous online publications, including formerly serving as an Editor-In-Chief for Peoria's River City Review and for the University of Illinois Springfield. Currently, Danielle is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies with Criminal Justice as a minor.

Notable accomplishments include public speaking for nonprofit events and placing in several speech tournaments, as well as winning an award for her writing in 2023 and having a short story published in Lupus Animus: Charity Anthology.

Danielle's advocacy work spans working alongside multiple nonprofit organizations, including local nonprofits, statewide agencies, and national nonprofit groups. These include: The Poor People's Campaign, Illinois Union for the Homeless, and Common Defense.

Danielle Webster brings a unique blend of military discipline, technical skills, resourcefulness, and creative ideas to the table while continuing to use her voice and lived experiences to inspire change in Springfield and beyond. If she's not in class or at home working on her computer, Danielle might be located at her nearest Starbucks, shopping for dinosaur toys and pet accessories (in that order), or exploring another historical site with J.
